Shame is an erotic drama film co-written and directed by Steve McQueen. The film stars Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. (Fassbender also appeared in McQueen's directorial debut film Hunger.) Shame was developed by See-Saw Films with Film4, who are co-financing this film.Fox Searchlight Pictures paid around $400,000 to acquire the United Statesdistribution rights of Shame, and they will release this film in the United States theatrically in 2011.
