Serious Sam 3: BFE is an upcoming first-person shooter video game in development by Croteam. It will be the latest game in the Serious Sam seriesand a prequel to Serious Sam: The First Encounter. The game's story takes place in the 22nd century, during Mental's invasion of Earth, as implied in The First Encounter. The game will be set in Egypt and will feature a 16-player co-operative campaign mode, as well as 4-player splitscreen. It is currently set to be released on November 22, 2011 on Steam. Console release dates have not been revealed.
